In the now ongoing saga of my missing mail from 6/22, I reported it. I used the option to report it to my local USPS via the site/email. I was going to use the Missing Mail Form, but it said to try that first so I went ahead and did that.
I got a response from my post office the next day that they would be looking into it. But then I haven’t seen anything since, until yesterday. I got a survey asking about how things went. Well, I told them that things didn’t go and I didn’t know why I would get a survey if something wasn’t resolved. But I never got anything from the “ticket” saying that it was resolved. So I am giving the benefit of the doubt to the local office and if don’t hear anything by Tuesday I’ll go respond or go to the Missing Mail Form.
I’m doing this all out of principle at this point. I run a Service Desk so I know how this stuff goes. And while I don’t mind giving people the benefit of the doubt on customer service-related issues (because I like them doing the same for me) at some point I lose my patience.

I went with #halloffame last week (of course that doesn’t count Nate Snell which was finishing out an un-themed week). I think that one was fun because they all weren’t obvious Hall of Fames. I’ll have to come back to that sometime. This also represented showing off some of the first autographs I’ve paid for in quite a while.
Side Note: I’m going to try to change this section to cover Monday – Sunday instead of Sunday – Saturday to make it match the way I do my themes.

You all voted for the theme this week – #queencity. If you don’t know what that’s a reference to, it’s Cincinnati. Home of the Reds, the Bengals, and WKRP. Unfortunately the later is not going to be represented in my posts.
What will be represented are players who are depicted on my main display cards playing for a team that represents the city. And all of these are “recent” returns by the way. I would say at this month the oldest ones are about six months old but that isn’t super old to me.
Other Notes
While it was a short week, it was also a slow week. I had 10 returns which is a little light for me. The month of June closed out really well, but the month of July is starting a little slow so far. Hopefully I can get those three that were supposed to have come in the week prior at some point. Maybe that will help give me a boost.
I think the slow week and starting to post at least one extra a week with #twofortuesday is helping keep the backlog in check. It only went up one this week and is now at 191. I did use a couple of my days off this past week to get some side work done for the blog so you’ll probably see a few more “Card Thoughts” posts coming up over next several weeks.
