Review / Preview – Week of 8/21

TTM Review Preview

Last week I dropped my oldest kid off at college… sniff, sniff.

No actually it was fine. They are only ten minutes down the road at George Mason which makes it easy. Plus we are there a lot so it’s not like we won’t be close and seeing them most likely. Not that I am going out of my way to. I am totally giving them space.

Rather than sad they are leaving, I find myself way more excited for them. My wife and I always say that if we had to do a time in our lives again it would be college. I mean when is your job actually only learning, yet you don’t do all that much time actually doing it?

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

It was a Pirates #twofortuesday with to 90’s Pirates appearing – Zane Smith and John Wehner. No as eclectic a week as some other recent weeks have been though.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Archie de triumph…
  • Tuesday: Tony Plush…
  • Tuesday: Martin house…
  • Wednesday: The Butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker…
  • Thursday: One in the Chamberlain…
  • Friday: A tobacco guy?
  • Saturday: I like eating slices of Pearsons and Apples…
  • Sunday: Oliver branch…

There’s no theme for the #twofortuesday this week. But it will be back to being a pretty eclectiv week. I think I am only missing basketball.

Other Notes

This was a tremendous week of returns, especially compared to prior weeks. I got back 20 successful returns and only one failure. The failure was from Keith Foulke and that was kind of a flyer anyway. I thought I had seen someone get a recent return and even thought I didn’t see a new address on my normal TTM sites, I just gave one a try. Oh well!

I got back a paid return from Teddy Higuera. I had tried him before (I think without the fee) and failed. And speaking of trying guys again, my resend to Matt Quatraro with the Royals came back successfully too. I had two longer stragglers out of the three I received back: Joe Kleine (551 days), Adam Lind (518) and Dave Freisleben (224) days.

The Recent TTM Success page is updated (actually was updated yesterday).

Have a great week!
