So this was definitely a week of slowdowns. Both incoming and outgoing slowed down, or just out-and-out stopped.
First, after a crazy week of returns the week before, this week was definitely a lot different. I had about a quarter to a third of the returns I had the week prior. The week before has already guaranteed me a pretty good month, so anything at this point is gravy. But it’s hard not to be disappointed in getting less this past weed. I don’t think being stuck here helps anything though either.
Outgoings are on hold for right now. As I stated last week, I let my supplies determine what I was doing. I ran out of #10 envelopes so I’m taking a break. But I did order some more envelopes so when those get here (which might be a bit) I’ll get back to it. That will help me enforce my “break” from sending things out.
I’ve kept my writing up though and I’ve just used the time to plan some things out an in general organize my cards. Gotta find a way to keep busy!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Sunday: Steve Searcy
- Monday: Greg Anthony
- Tuesday: Muggsy Bogues, Card Thoughts: 1999 Stadium Club Series 2 – Never Compromise
- Wednesday: Steve Mura
- Thursday: Johnny Grubb
- Friday: Raymond Clayborn, Card Thoughts: 2002 Topps Series 2 – Who’s That? Brooown!
- Saturday: Brian Dayett
I finally got a couple of the “Card Thoughts” posts out there and they focused on some of the new boxes I had to open. I’ll have some more of those upcoming (with 1993 being a theme for the next couple). But I also had a couple old point guard successes in there too last week.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Dee Apostrophe…
- Tuesday: I’m gon get you High today…
- Wednesday: Harvey bar…
- Thursday: Cris with no “h”…
- Friday: Del the funky homosapien…
- Saturday: The Witches of…
- Sunday: What Gann you do?
Go ahead and guess. I think some are obvious (but I know the answers).
Other Notes
After that huge week I think the backlog was bound to go down. So I’m now at 126. At posting one per day, that gets me to August. But with me stopping sending for now that’s definitely going to put a damper on what’s coming back in the coming months. I won’t say this is what I like the backlog for, but kind of it is.
Hope you and your families stay healthy!
