Review / Preview – Week 7/3

TTM Review Preview

This week I got back a purchase from Ryan’s Vintage Cards (@ryansvintagecards on Instagram) and had a ton of fun! I actually got two boxes. While I didn’t get any of the chase cards, I always get some good stuff and this time wasn’t much different.

There are always a good amount of cards from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s but I have to say that it was the cards from the 80’s that I had a good time with this time. A bunch of George Brett, Ozzie Smith and others were in the boxes, mostly from the early 80’s. And since these are coming from Canada, there’s a lot of O-Pee-Chee.

He also includes an autograph in every pack. The best ones that I got for autos were Alan Trammel and Tom Glavine. Both of those guys I’ve gotten in packs from Ryan before, but these were different cards. I also got Jermaine Dye and some others.

Ryan has a new chase going on this weekend and I am desperate hoping for the ’68 Seaver that’s part of the chase.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

No theme for the #twofortuesday this week. There hasn’t been as much hockey happening on the blog lately so it was nice to add a little bit in there on Tuesday with Jimmy Carson in a Red Wings uniform.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: The pastor and the Dieken…
  • Tuesday: Hellloooooo, Mr. Wilson…
  • Tuesday: One of Da Bears …
  • Wednesday: Todd Dammit…
  • Thursday: Moon over Miami, or Houston…
  • Friday: Swing away Merrill…
  • Saturday: Feel the Bernstine…
  • Sunday: Sometime I catch myself Humphreying…

A #twofortuesday theme? What? Yep, it’s a Chicago theme this time around. And get ready for a heck of a lot of football ont he blog this week. While not the whole week, it will make up a good chunk.

Other Notes

Definitely a slow week this time around. I only got back twelve returns. But then one of those was a failure and another was technically a guy I had two attempts out on. Of the eleven successes, four of them were stragglers over 200 days out: Billy Spiers (586 and 350 days), Mike Prior (286 days), and Steve Cox (208 days). The failure I got back was from Jeff Schaefer and I think I found another address to try for him and got him back out for another attempt by the end of the week.

The Recent TTM Success page is updated.

Have a great week!
