Review / Preview – Week of 8/17

TTM Review Preview

As they say, when it rains it pours… and it’s sure been raining in a lot of places.

First of all, it’s literally been raining a lot. My lawn mowing schedule sure is impacted because of course it seems to rain on the weekends when I like to do the work. But I’ve also been trying to walk a lot more and the mornings have been a bit rainy the last few days which throws off that schedule too. The problem there is that when my schedule gets thrown off, it gets harder to gear up for doing it.

Second, I mentioned my daughter’s play last week and that’s outdoors. I didn’t end up playing in my softball league this year, but this play is totally reminding me of that. They have a Slack channel that they use to talk about if rehearsal or the play is on and we are basically held hostage to that when it looks like rain. But the final performance is tonight so that will free up some evenings.

Lastly, yesterday I had some mail issues where it appeared that my mail had been dropped in a puddle. It was raining so it could have been that. However, it wasn’t all my mail that was soaked… just my TTM mail of course. Ugh! It was the worst wet I have ever seen. But I guess those are the dangers of the TTM/PWE game.

Hope you had, and will have, a great week!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

#creamcity week was pretty fun. If you hadn’t picked up on it each post on social media included lines from Laverne & Shirley so it all went with the Milwaukee theme. And by the way, the Brewers uniforms for this year are KILLER!

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Standing Pat…
  • Tuesday: It is down to Hughes and it is down to me…
  • Tuesday: Beware of hanging Schads…
  • Wednesday: Come Heller high water…
  • Thursday: Raders of the Lost Ark…
  • Friday: Bobby D…
  • Saturday: I love his chips…
  • Sunday: Brooks brothers…

The theme for next week will be… drum roll… #cityofbrotherlylove. So of course that’s Philly and I’m sure that gives a bunch of the above away. Hopefully my Mets can salvage a win there today and I can feel better about this. Otherwise I am just rubbing things in for myself the next week.

Other Notes

This week was a back to normal week as far as returns go. The backlog is still building and I am at 230. But August in general is shaping up to be pretty great so far, mainly because of last week. And I got my first failure for the month. I didn’t realize that Ron Reed charges to sign to benefit a charity. That’s a research fail on my part.

Stay safe and healthy out there!
