The Story of the Autograph

Theodore “Blue” Edwards is a former small forward/shooting guard in the NBA. He played from 1989 through 1999 with the Jazz (twice), Bucks, Celtics, Grizzlies, and Heat. Before retiring he also played in Greece.

Edwards was born in Washington, DC and raised in North Carolina. He played his college ball at Louisburg College to start and then went on to East Carolina University. While playing at ECU he set a single season scoring record and was sixth in the nation in score in 1988-89. He was good enough for the Jazz to take him with their first round pick in 1989, the 21st overall.

But after a few seasons with the Jazz he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. That was the start of a bunch of moving around for him. He never really spent more than two, three or four years anywhere. He was a part of the Vancouver Grizzlies from 1995 to 1998 and had the first triple-double in the franchises history.

His last season in the NBA was 1999 with the Heat. From there he moved on to play in Greece with Olympiacos and Dafni.

The Score on Blue Edwards – 6.5

Blue has a pretty messy signature and of course the business of a basketball card really doesn’t do any favors to it. But the marker was really strong and he seems to but a ton of ink on your cards. It would just help to see it a little bitter. The Topps cards seem to be the best cards of the bunch to me clearly.

Thanks Mr. Edwards! I’m giving this return a 6.5.
