The Story of the Autograph
Terry McDaniel is a former defensive back in the NFL. His career spanned from 1988 to 1998 and during those eleven seasons he played for the Raiders in both Los Angeles and Oakland and for the Seattle Seahawks.
McDaniel was born in Ohio and raised in Michigan. He played football and ran track in high school. In football he played both wide receiver and running back. In track he won Michigan state titles in the 100m and 200m sprints. He went on to the University of Tennessee. He started there as a wide receiver but converted to cornerback before the 1985 season. He became a darn good corner and earned All-SEC honors in 1987. The Raiders selected him in the first round with the 9th overall pick of the draft.
Unfortunately he missed the majority of his rookie season with a broken leg. After than he was on his way to becoming a great asset to the Raiders. He earned his first of five consecutive Pro Bowl appearances in 1992 and would be an All-Pro from 1992 to 1995 as well. His best seasons were in 1994 and 1995 when he had seven and six interceptions respective and over 50 solo tackles in each of those years.
He picked up a knee injury in 1997 and missed a good about of time. The Raiders released him and he got a shot with the Seahawks before calling it a career.

Terry has a bit of a small signature, although he uses a marker that almost goes better with a bit bigger signature. What I think is a bit interesting about how he signs is the layout of it. He puts his number in the middle and above his name. Usually players but that below or to the right of their name. It appears he uses the same bible verse on all his cards… or at least while signing this lot he did.
