The Story of the Autograph

Stan Bahnsen is a former right-handed pitcher in the major leagues. He was mostly a starter during his career but also played as a reliever toward the end of his career. The 1968 Rookie of the Year played from 1966 to 1982 with the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics, Montreal Expos, California Angels, and Philadelphia Phillies.

The Score on Stan Bahnsen – 6.5

While I don’t like facsimile signatures, I do like how on the 1975 and 1977 Topps cards you can see Stan’s version. It’s really not too far from what it is today. I love the “21 Wins 1972” inscription but it looks like either he or the marker messed up a bit while writing that. I need to find a card that he can put a good “RoY” on.
