Review / Preview – Week of 8/2

TTM Review Preview

Something that made my attitude change a bit in the last few months was being able to do some things and actually get some cards. If you follow the blog regularly you know that I got some cards from a neighbor (@seanssportscards on IG) and I was able to hit a couple card shows too.

One thing I noticed this week is a I’m really starting to get cards back from the cards I got in those transactions. It’s pretty funny because from the shows I tend to get older cards from the dime boxes. And then from my neighbor I got mostly 90’s and 00’s cards. So the cards coming back tend to be from opposite ends of my normal spectrum.

Things seem to be getting crazy out there again. Be careful, stay safe, and take care of each other!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

There was a Twins #twofortuesday this week. But now that I look at it, I could have definitely done something with the two Marks at the end of the week. Seems like some weeks I’m desperate for an idea and others I have too many.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Finkle is Eichhorn…
  • Tuesday: Tony Z…
  • Tuesday: Mean Gene…
  • Wednesday: Romine lettuce…
  • Thursday: Crazy Eddie…
  • Friday: In the Reeds…
  • Saturday: I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Wehner…
  • Sunday: I love the Opera about him…

#twofortuesday this week will be all football. Unfortunately one of the post will be about some one who passed away earlier this year and I only just found out about it. Otherwise it’s a bit of an all over the place week.

Other Notes

This week I had 17 successful returns come back. That was a week that I was waiting for and it closed out July on a really high note. The week started with not getting any of the six things I was supposed to get so it didn’t start great. I really have no idea what my mail folks have against me on Mondays…

There were some nice first-timers for me this week with Rob Bryant, Mark McLemore and some others. Plus some good coaching returns from Wayne Kirby, Tony La Russa and Mauro Gozzo. Maybe my favorite though was Jon Matlack who just went into the Mets Hall of Fame yesterday.

Have a great week!
