This will be my last themed week for at least a week. I need to build up some choices for another poll and to make sure I have all of it ready to go depending on the results. But also I don’t want to let some of the posts I have get too long in the tooth. As it stands now I have some posts that are not going to go up until November at a one-a-day pace. I have a bunch of things brewing for that.
Earlier today I closed out #californiadreamin week with Jeff Jaeger of the Raiders. I liked how this week went. #clevelandrocks week ended up being mostly Indians. That’s fine, but this past week I had seven different teams across two sports and six cities. I guess theming after the state is easier to make it a little more diverse in most cases. Up next week is #deepintheheartoftexas.
The next themes I have planned are named for cities and states mostly. There are a few that a city or state fits the theme but I’ll name it after a song title or something. I’m noticing though that it’s easier to build themes for the places that have multiple teams. Also those that have multiple songs and themes about them (New York, Texas, California, etc.). I hope to have a spark for some other ideas in the future though.

#clevelandrocks week was closed out and we rolled into #californiadreamin week. As I said earlier, I liked how this theme was still a bit all over the place as far as cities and teams and all that. It definitely made it fun to collect the right mix to end up putting together.

#deepintheheartoftexas will obviously cover a lot of ground. I mean you can fit several countries in the state so…. This one is mostly baseball and for the most part three teams.
Other Notes
This week I’ll be getting out my TTM Report for May. It was a doozy! Definitely one of the best months I’ve ever had. And the new set of requests I had planned started going out and are already coming back. That’s always great to see and starts to really spark my energy to get more written and sent out.
The backlog is up even more to 173. I think I will try to add a “Two for Tuesday” post this week. Hopefully I’ll have remember to keep it up where I can.
