Review / Preview – Week of 10/3

TTM Review Preview

Some TTM collectors like to mark their envelopes so they know what they are getting back before they even open it. I don’t like to do that. I like the surprise all the way until the last minute when I pull those bad boys out.

I also like to play a little game. As I pull them out I try to put them in the order that I sent them – oldest to most recent attempt. Some days I do better than others.

This week I ran into an issue. I got a return envelope back and… IT WAS EMPTY! I don’t think I’ve ever had that happen. I guess the cards just didn’t get into my envelope in the process, but that stinks huh? And since I don’t mark my envelopes I have no idea who I got this failure (?) from.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

It was #clevelandrocks week this week. While I’m still unsure as to whether to tag old Indians cards as Guardians cards or not… it was still a good week of baseball and a little bit of basket ball. Plus I got my post about a second purchase from Ryan’s Vintage Cards – definitely a fun thing to open.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Mi Casillas es tu Casillas…
  • Tuesday: We must protect this House…
  • Tuesday: Gant chart…
  • Wednesday: Greg Olson’s blues…
  • Thursday: Mr. Green Jeans…
  • Friday: I use a Delk computer…
  • Saturday: Keefe it in the family…
  • Sunday: Ferrell cats…

This coming week will be all about the ATL – it’s #devilwentdowntogeorgia week. I think I have a pretty good selection of Braves, Falcons and Hawks to show so there will be some variety for you.

Other Notes

The last several weeks have been going up and down. This one was definitely up with 23 returns. I got two failures on top of that. I had been getting this feeling that something was going to explode a bit more and it finally did. So September closed out pretty strong.

There were a couple stragglers. Rob Ducey came back in 549 days but it was a failure and he charges $5 per, but at least I got it back. The other that was a straggler was Bob Zupcic at 246 days out.

The new Recent TTM Success is updated.

Have a great week!
