November seemed like a really slow month. Part of that had to be because I had slowed down how often I sent out TTM requests at the end of the baseball season. But I felt like the month ended with a dry spell.
Overall I had 20 returns with 68 total cards. I had one Spring Training return for Daniel Descalso and one in-season success from James Paxton. I also got a magazine returned from a current basketball player, but not an NBA one. Isaiah Wilkins return a Sports Illustrated from the Greensboro Swarm of the G-League with a little note on UVA paper. It was nice to see a few football successes too from Max Montoya and Shane Conlan. Shane Conlan was also my success that took the longest last month at 295 days.
As for my failures, there were plenty. Bucky Dent, Donte DiVencenzo, George Springer and Jose Altuve all returned IS that I sent to them. Springer’s was out for almost two years. The card failures I had were for Gary Pettis (seems like all the Astros cards came back at once), Chris Bosio, Bruce Berenyi and Ron Kittle. I’ve actually already corrected the Kittle address and got it back.
I’m really hoping to make a success rate of 1 per day for the year. I think I’m about right on track right not but I feel like I’m going to need a pretty good month of December to make it work. It’s doable but I might cut it close.
