The Story of the Autograph
Mike Birkbeck is a former right-handed starting pitcher in the major leagues. He played during six seasons between 1986 and 1995 with the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets.
This is my second successful return from him. To find out more about him, and to see my first successful return, check out my post from July 2021.
The Score on Mike Birkbeck – 6.5
Mike has a really strong signature and he’s a pretty consistent signer. I think my favorite of this bunch is the 1989 Score card. It’s not my favorite design but it’s definitely the one that stands out the most. This is also a good example of how disappointing 1989 Topps cards can be. A lot of them come out great, but on this one if you look at the “B” its kind of bubbling a little bit. It’s always annoying to see that whe the other cards or even the rest of that signature looks so good.
