Review / Preview – Week of 11/15

TTM Review Preview

Another three day weekend… and boy do I need it! Work is still crazy.

This week we lost a good guy, Bud Harrelson. As a Met fan Bud was just a big part of the franchise. He was a coach in the days I became a fan. Then as I learned more about the team’s history, I learned more about how Bud was part of a lot of that.

On top of all that, Bud was a really good man. I met him once as a kid when my Dad was at Ulti-Met Week, the Mets fantasy camp. He was good to my brother and I and my Dad in the couple interactions I had with him. That might sound obvious because of the situation, but from what I have heard about other people and Bud, he was a very genuine guy. And I think what I remember most about him and maybe what I kind of like best about him… he was a baseball lifer.

Unfortunately it was Alzheimer’s that Bud was afflicted with. I know many of us know how hard of a road that is, but I am one of many with personal experience from my extended family. It’s unbelievably hard for family and friends and my thoughts are with Bud’s family and friends as they deal with his passing.

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

I had a Braves theme to the #twofortuesday this week. Kind of annoying now that I think of the last few themes being about teams that are rivals of my team, but I guess it’s anything for the #twofortuesday posts!

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: At your Birkbeck and call…
  • Tuesday: Hubie, doobie, do…
  • Tuesday: Wood’s been hit…
  • Wednesday: The Count of Monte D’Acquisto…
  • Thursday: Jack and Giles went up the…
  • Friday: Ambrose-ia…
  • Saturday: Get in the Taubensee…
  • Sunday: The Schatzeder came back…

The #twofortuesday will be another rival of a favorite team, but this time in a different sport. Two Islanders came up in my list for this week.

Other Notes

As you might expect, a few weeks of sending out more attempts is now resulting in some big weeks.

I got back 30 returns this week with no failures! There were a few good stragglers in there with Ryan Miller at 621 days, Andy Phillips at 249 days, and Andy Fox at 244 days. I didn’t get any paid returns back. I guess I haven’t been sending as many out lately.

Have a great week!
