The Story of the Autograph

Jimmy Oliver is a former shooting guard in the NBA. He played in five seasons between 1991 and 1999. During that time he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Phoenix Suns.

Oliver was born and raised in Arkansas. He started out in community college and then moved on to Purdue and played for Gene Keady. He improved each year he played and helped the Boilermakers reach the NCAA Tournament two years in a row. The Cavaliers selected him with the 39th overall pick in the second round of the 1991 NBA Draft.

He played sparingly throughout his career and moved up and down between the NBA and CBA. His best NBA season was with Boston in 1993-94. That season he played in a career high 44 games with six starts and average 4.9 points per game.

With all his bouncing around he also played in Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Russia, Croatia, and Slovenia until he called it quits in in 2007. He won championships, MVPs, and was top scorer in Europe.

The Score on Jimmy Oliver – 6.5

Jimmy doesn’t have too much to his signature. But there is a little quirk about it as well that I like – it’s those dots over the eyes. The loops and those circles go really well together. I really like that I have him in a Purdue uniform because he didn’t really have the greatest career in the NBA but he was good as a Boilermaker.

Thanks Mr. Oliver! I’m giving this return a 6.5 overall.
