For the last, but certainly not the least of these football blasters I picked up, I have 2018 Score. I wouldn’t say that Score is the bottom end product in all this, but maybe you can view it as a standard offering. It’s definitely an entry level offering. There’s nothing too fancy about the cards and the card stock is maybe a little lighter than some others, but to me there’s so much to like about this product.
There’s so much color in this set. Yes, the base design is a lot of white, but I think that harkens back to the old flagship designs of other cards. The color comes from a different team color being part of each card. The photos are great and I like the design too. Plus, like Donruss, you get a load of cards. Let’s break it open.

Base Level
The base cards are just a flat out good design. They are kind of modern but yet timeless in a way. I can see an argument that it doesn’t necessarily standout from year to year, but this is a lower level set. It’s a design that evolves from year to year.
You can see with each of these cards how high on color they are. I love that Ryan Shazier is in included in the set. I’m no Steelers fan but you can’t say that his story isn’t inspiring.
I included the Stewart card to kind of show the issue the set has. I’d say he played for the Giants but he was really only signed by the Giants. He’s definitely not a Panther. But I think the release of the set doesn’t allow for some of the changes and you can see more of this. One thing I like is you won’t find Photoshopped uniforms or anything.
