This week I finally got to organizing my TTM cards a bit more. With all the wax boxes I’ve been opening I’ve needed to put some away. Plus I took the time to really go through my doubles boxes in detail to pull some more potentially TTM cards out. I’ve got enough now where I REALLY don’t need to do that for a while.
My next step is to plan my next TTM phase. I send out about 1 or 2 a day and I have them all written for maybe another three weeks worth of mail. But now is about the time to get the next round started or I risk a bit of a lull in sending out. I always feel like a steady stream out makes for a steady stream back in.
So now it’s time to start planning what types of things I am sending out. I usually pull a couple themes: guys I have never sent to, repeat tries, maybe a specific team I am going for, if I’ve seen others get recent successes back, etc. There’s a whole lot of places I go with it. Then I put them in a preference order and start my writing.
I need to get my hand and wrist ready for the handwriting process…
Hope you had a great week of returns!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Sunday: Todd Hundley
- Monday: Bobby Witt
- Tuesday: Larry Biittner
- Wednesday: Steve Lyons
- Thursday: Henry Ellard
- Friday: Ed Whitson
- Saturday: Randy Niemann
No extra posts other than TTMs this week. Damn, I’ve been lazy. I do have one lined up for this week though so as long as “real” work doesn’t get in the way that will go up this week.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Same name as a guy from grade school (that helps you 0%)…
- Tuesday: Human Rain Delay…
- Wednesday: Weekly Reed-er…
- Thursday: One of three of this name who played…
- Friday: Front Office… Sox…
- Saturday: He’ll do you no Harn…
- Sunday: He Drew a picture…
Wow, these get so hard to write sometimes. You really need to get in the mood to do them right.
Other Notes
Not as many returns as normal this week. Definitely less than last week anyway. But with seeing some others not get too much lately I should consider myself lucky. Although things do seem to be picking up for people. And I feel like some people have seen some things come out of the woodwork lately too (#stragglers).
My backlog is still going up and is at 140. I’m basically set until September at this point for one per day posts if I wanted to take a break.
Hope you and your families stay healthy!
