The Story of the Autograph
Todd Bowles is a former defensive back in the NFL as well as a head coach and coach. He played for the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers from 1986 through 1993. More recently he was the head coach of the New York Jets from 2015 through the end of this past season until he was fired. Since then he’s been hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to be their defensive coordinator.
Bowles was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. He went to college at Temple and played for Bruce Arians while he was there. The Redskins signed him as an undrafted free agent in May of 1986 and won a spot on the roster. By 1987 he won the starting job and was the starting free safety for the Redskins Super Bowl XXII win.
He went on to the 49ers in 1991 and only played there for a year. In 1992 he was back with Washington but unfortunately missed out on another Super Bowl win.
He coached in college and then the pros after his playing days and got a permanent coaching job with the Jets in 2015. After a great first season with a 10-6 record he never won more than 5 games in a year and finished last season with a 4-12 record before being fired.

Tod has a solid autograph and these cards really took it well. The 1990 Pro Set card looks really great. That one definitely came out the better of the two.
