The Story of the Autograph

Tim McCormick is a former center in the NBA. He played from 1984 to 1992 with the Seattle SuperSonics, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks.

McCormick is a native of Michigan. He went to the University of Michigan and played three seasons there, missing one to injury. During his senior season he helped the team to an NIT Championship. The Cleveland Cavaliers drafted him with the twelfth overall pick in the first round of the 1984 NBA Draft. They then traded he and Cliff Robinson to the Washington Bullets on draft day. The Bullets then traded him to the SuperSonics the same day.

He spent two solid seasons with the SuperSonics before going to Philedelphia where he had a really good first season, putting up 12.8 point per game. He was moved to New Jersey the following season and he averaged 14.1 points while he was there. Then it was on to Houston, Atlanta and New York where he closed out his career.

He was part of playoff teams everywhere he was except for Seattle and New Jersey.

The Score on Tim McCormick – 6.0

Tim has a fine signature, but this marker did not do him any favors. Its on its last legs most definitely. Surprisingly it still sticks out just a little bit on these busy basketball cards. The 1989 NBA Hoops card was the one that gave it the best shot.

Thanks Mr. McCormick! I’m giving this return a 6.
