The Story of the Autograph
Terry Allen is a former running back in the NFL. He played from 1991 to 2001 and played for the Vikings, Redskins, Patriots, Saints, and Ravens.
Allen was born and raised in Georgia and went to college at Clemson. He was drafted in the ninth round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings and spent his rookie season as the backup to Herschel Walker. The next year he was named the starter and broke 1,200 yards on the ground and scored 13 rushing touchdowns (in addition to another 470+ yards received and two touchdowns). The next year Allen tore his ACL and missed the season, but he would be back in 1994 to break the 1,000 yard rushing barrier again.
But it was with the Redskins over the next two years that Allen really broke out. He rushed for 1,300+ yards both seasons. He scored 10 rushing touchdowns in 1995, but then more than doubled it by scoring 21 in 1996. That’s a feat that not that many running backs can claim. It earned him is one and only Pro Bowl and Second-team All-Pro.
After those two years with the ‘Skins it was a pretty much downhill from there. He would move on to other teams to be a back up, unless someone got hurt.

Terry has a nice auto but both of these cards are really dark and make it a bit hard to see. On top of that the Classic Pro Line card smudged or wore off somehow. That one is a little awkward too in that he is in a Viking uniform but it’s tagged as a Redskins card.
