The Story of the Autograph
Stan Brock is a former tackle in the National Football League. He played for sixteen seasons with the New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers from 1980 through 1995.
Brock is a native of Portland, Oregon. He went the University of Colorado where he played for the Buffaloes and became an All-American as a senior. He was also selected to the first-Team All-Big Eight Conference team and won the John Mack award for being the teams offensive MVP. The Saints drafted him with the twelth overall pick in the first round of the 1980 NFL Draft.
He was almost immediately a starter for the Saints as he started 12 games in his first season. He would go on to start all the games he played in until the final season of his career. While he was a long-time Saint, his greatest success was probably being part of the Chargers Super Bowl XXIX team, where unfortunately they would lose to the 49ers.
Brock went on to become a coach in the Arena Football League and as a offensive line and later head coach for Army in college. He also worked as an analyst on Saints radio broadcasts.

This was a good return from Stan. I think my favorite of the bunch might be the 1983 Topps card. I have just always loved that design so I am partial to that one already. I feel like it was a bit ahead of its time with the graphics. Unfortunately I don’t think I have a card of his in a Chargers uniform.
