The Story of the Autograph
Roger Metzger is a former shortstop in the major leagues. He spent eleven seasons in the majors from 1970 to 1980. During that time he played for three teams: Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, and San Francisco Giants.

Roger may have a small signature, but he kind of balances it out a bit while using a really good sized marker for a signature his size. Anything thicker and it would just become one big black spot at that size. At the same time, anything smaller makes it disappear on the cards. These came out really well, with the least of them being the 1974 Topps card because its so busy and dark.
