The Story of the Autograph
Riki Ellison is a former linebacker in the NFL. His career spanned from 1983 to 1992 and during that time he played for the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Raiders.
Ellison is a native of New Zealand. He grew up in Arizona and won a state championship while in high school. He was also the 1977 Arizona Player of the Year. He went on to play football at USC for the Trojans. That was a team that won Rose Bowls in 1979 and 1980 and won a National Championship. The 49ers chose him with their fifth round pick in the 1983 NFL Draft.
He became the first New Zealander and Maori to play in professional football. He was named to the All-Rookie team to start his career. He went on to be part of three Super Bowl winning 49ers teams, the first New Zealander to do that too. He would play his final three seasons with the Raiders.
In 2001 he went on to coach at TC Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. He did that for two seasons.

Riki really fills up your card with some ink. He works in a whole lot of loops in that signature somehow. It looks like his signature even went off the card at the end. I’m not sure if Riki is strictly one per or not. I think I sent him some doubles so it might just be that he doesn’t sign doubles.
