This was quite the week / weekend.
My oldest, a senior, was the witch in their school’s production of Into the Woods. It was a whole lot of musical as I spent 12 hours from Thursday to Saturday watching four amazing shows. It’s really amazing what these kids can do all by themselves – costumes, sets, publicity… everything.
I was realizing how much they did last night with the other parents as well. They had dress last Sunday, Monday some of them a regional theater competition, then dress again Tuesday, then a faculty performance on Wednesday. Then they got into the four performances over three days.
It was a lot, but in the end they were really fun to watch even if it was over and over again. And I not only had a great time watching them, but all the other kids I’ve watched grow up in that theater.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Ted Power
- Tuesday: Charles Hudson, Roberto Hernandez
- Wednesday: Jay Howell
- Thursday: Bill Almon
- Friday: Bill Wegman
- Saturday: Ron Kittle, RIP Tim McCarver
- Sunday: Cecil Cooper
I’m still working my way through the backlog. This week I focused on some of the guys I have multiple returns from in the backlog. I missed an opportunity for a #twofortuesday theme with potential ones for Brewers and Bills. Also this week, I looked back as Tim McCarver passed away and I had a success from him in January.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: I get my bapples from the Borchard…
- Tuesday: LaRoche motel…
- Tuesday: Stegman in a box…
- Wednesday: Denny’s…
- Thursday: Ricky was a young boy…
- Friday: Brock me Amadeus…
- Saturday: I’ll see you on LaCorte…
- Sunday: Savage garden…
As always, these days at least, I’m just working through the backlog. This week its getting through the oldest of the old on the list. There is a theme for the #twofortuesday and its #dave.
Other Notes
After several weeks of either really great or solid return levels, this week came back down to earth. I didn’t even hit double digits with successes as I received nine back. It was double digits with the one failure I got from Bob Boone. I was a little disappointed in that one because I’ve seen a lot of successes come back lately. I think I’m going to try it again.
On the straggler side of things there were a few:
- Terry Steinbach – 342
- Pete Mackanin – 234
- Jim DeShaies – 206

Have a great week!
