Our neighborhood had a pretty cool thing this weekend. Someone in the neighborhood put on a scavenger hunt and about 30 families participated. Most involved taking pictures or selfies of what you found. Some involved a little riddle based on what you found. There were things like:
- Finding numbers written in chalk – we found them in cul-de-sacs
- Doing some little map riddles like following directions based on a starting point and figuring out the address it gets you to
- Finding jumbled letters in some yards
- And most were sort of landmark type of things (find the house with the red roof, etc.)
I think it was meant to be a relaxed and be over the whole weekend. My family is a bit competitive and we did it in about two hours. So we don’t know who won yet because it should be through today.
The winner gets a private screening of a movie at a discount theater around here. Not sure that sounds like a great idea at the moment even with just a few people we know in the room, but did sound neat. I think top three get prizes though with the others being gift cards to restaurants. Crossing fingers we did well!
Everyone stay safe and healthy!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

This was another random week to try to catch up on some older successes that hadn’t been fitting into any themes. I think these covered somewhere between May and July (ish) on the calendar. There’s always going to be stuff to catch up on though so it’s just finding a way to sneak it into my plan.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Capt. America…
- Tuesday: Billy Boy…
- Tuesday: Whiten-ing your teeth…
- Wednesday: Last name sounds like some kind of metal company name…
- Thursday: Love his bro’s books…
- Friday: The Hawk…
- Saturday: Always thinking 2 Live Crew with his name…
- Sunday: Jefff…
I’m getting back to a theme for this next week. We’re going to be checking out some #ohcanada posts. So this will be focused on teams from Canada. This Blue Jays and Expos pretty much and that’s what we’ll be checking out. There’s definitely one that I’ve been really wanting to post.
Other Notes
November is going great so far. This week I got 15 successes and my backlog is up to 291. For the month I think I’m averaging a little better than two-per-day so I’m hoping I can keep that up. I was just about at the end of what I planned to send out a few months back. Now I’m working in some new ones that I am writing and using the current successes I see from everyone else to get those out a little bit sooner in the plan. Hopefully things work out well through the end of the year.
Stay safe and healthy out there!
