Review / Preview – Week of 1/9

TTM Review Preview

Week one of this year is in the books and I am already playing the Mountain Goats “This Year” as my theme song for the year… “I am gonna make it, through this year, if it kills me.”

OK, it’s not that bad, but work is just nuts – both from how much work there is (I’m kinda working two jobs at once with this project we have) and with what’s coming of it (I feel like I shake my head at decisions and things I hear all day). Thank goodness I have the blog to forget about things.

While the blog does tend to mean more work, at least I like it. I mean, I better I guess right? It is a busy time of year with that too. It’s year-in-review time so that ends up being a little more than writing my simpler blog posts.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

As I continue through the massive backlog, it was time to get some review posts out. First was the monthly review for December 2022 and second was the first of the yearly review posts – My Best Nine. That’s always one of my most fun posts to do because it really makes me go back and think about other things that were going on when I made the posts.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Wallach-E…
  • Tuesday: Redding Hot Chili Peppers…
  • Tuesday: Parker-ing tickets…
  • Wednesday: Calvin & Hobson…
  • Thursday: At the Helms…
  • Friday: My wife and kids like to go get mannies and Pedriques…
  • Saturday: Aikens and pains…
  • Sunday: Hello Jerry…

Still working through the backlog of course. So more random stuff. I should be getting out the year-in-review next week too.

Other Notes

I’m looking for consistency this year so it’s fitting that this week I got back the same number as last week… Nineteen returns. And that was again in a short week. Some of the highlights this week were a bit uncharacteristic for my recent returns – two from current players (Tommy La Stella and Amed Rosario). There were quite a few stragglers this week, just like last week also. Nothing as crazy long as some recent ones though

  • Derrick Mayes – 366
  • Tommy La Stella – 289
  • Mike Dunne – 245
  • Keith Van Horn – 244
  • David Treadwell – 233

The Recent TTM Success page is updated.

Have a great week!
