Review / Preview – Week of 1/11

TTM Review Preview

This was a rough week at work. It was so hard to come back and get back into things after some PTO and a couple short weeks in a row. Luckily there will be another three day weekend coming up.

But all that made me start thinking about March and April. Things are going to get a lot busier at work and I’m wondering how that will go for the blog. This is just a hobby so obviously what pays me has to move to the front. The best I can try to do is put some work in now to hopefully make things easier later and hope for the best.

Stay safe out there!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

#yankeedoodle week was both fun and torture. As a Mets fan I am always tortured, even by my own team, but this time I tortured myself by going through it. But there was a ton happening on the blog aside from the Bronx Bomber posts. I posts two reviews, one of December and one for 2020 TTMs on the whole. Those are always fun to put together.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Chewy…
  • Tuesday: The Flamingo,
  • Tuesday: Thunder…
  • Wednesday: Juicy J…
  • Thursday: Quail…
  • Friday: Gentleman Jim…
  • Saturday: The Gravedigger…
  • Sunday: Pokey…

I’ve only really got a few more themed weeks in the whole and the last ones came a little more recently so I don’t have them all ready to go like the others. This week on the blog will be nickname week. I’m hoping these aren’t all easy and that some of them will be a challenge to guess.

Other Notes

I’ve had a few up and down weeks and this one was an up. This week I had 21 successful returns! That’s even better than I did during Christmas week a couple weeks ago. That brings the backlog up to an amazing 324!

One thing I am noticing about this first full week of January is that it looks like this month will be dominated by Texas teams. More specifically, the Texas Rangers are probably going to play pretty heavily into the monthly stats. Of course things can change, but right now it is definitely a “Texas” themed month of returns.

Stay safe and healthy out there!
