May 2018 was a somewhat in between month for me. There were times when I felt like I wasn’t ever going to get something in the mail and there were other times when I was getting something everyday for a few days. I didn’t average a return a day for the month, but I was just under it and way better than the 15 returns that came back in April.
I had 28 total successes in May that got me to 144 successes for the year and I broke 1000 successes for my TTM career (Mat Latos). Those 28 separate returns brought back 74 cards between all of them. All of those returns were new to me except for Don Mattingly who is someone I’ve gotten a return from previously and was a leftover from Spring Training TTMs.
As for failed returns, there were two: JJ Birden and Francisco Rodriguez. I think JJ recently changed addresses and there was a new address on the envelope that had maybe stopped forwarding to. I have yet to try that out. Francisco returned is from the Long Island Ducks because he doesn’t sign without a donation. The Ducks are asking for $25 to the QuackerJack Foundation for signing any one MLB item. However, if the item is from the Ducks or any minor league production line it would be free. I’m still debating on sending that back with a donation.
I’m hoping things continue to pick up.
