The Story of the Autograph
Keenan McCardell is a former wide receiver and current coach in the NFL. He played 16 season for the Browns, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Chargers and Redskins. Since he finished playing he’s worked as a wide receivers coach with the Redskins and Jaguars as well as with the University of Maryland.
McCardell was born and raised in Texas. He played quarterback in football but also played basketball and track. HE went to UNLV and became a wide receiver. He left UNLV as the teams all-time leading receiver. The Redskins drafted him in the 12th round of the 1991 NFL Draft but he never played for them that year. He did get a Super Bowl ring for being a reserve with the team but be was cut after the season.
He moved on to the Browns the next year but didn’t see too much action. His big chance came when he moved on to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 1996 for his first season there he made 89 receptions and had 1129 yards and tree touchdowns and made his first Pro Bowl appearance. He followed that up the next year with similar stats as well.
Overall he had five seasons with over 1,000 yards for his career. His highest touchdown total was nine with the Chargers later in his career. He also score eight times with the Buccaneers in 2003 after winning the Super Bowl with them the year before.

I’d sent to Keenan before without any luck so I’m glad this one went through. I just wish that I had a card of his from his prime with the Jags. He’s got a good signature and be puts some size into it with the big loop for the last “l”. I was actually worried that this card would smudge because it’s got a pretty good gloss on it but it came out OK.
