The Story of the Autograph

Justin De Fratus is a former relief pitcher in the major leagues. The right-hander played from 2011 to 2015 and spent his entire major league career with the Philadelphia Phillies.

De Fratus was born and raised in California. He would attend Ventura College where he was drafted from in the eleventh round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Phillies. After four years in their minor league system he made his major league debut on September 18, 2011. He played in just five games that first season and limited time in 2012 but would be part of the bullpen in 2013.

2013 and 2014 were two solid years for him. He would appear in over 50 games each of those years and go 3-3 and 3-1 respectively with a 2.39 ERA in 2014. In 2015 he wasn’t playing as well and went back down to the minors. He made it back up but his last appearance in the majors was on October 3, 2015.

He continued to try to get back to the bigs with the Mariners (twice), Rangers, Padres and Dodgers but would never get back.

The Score on Justin De Fratus – 7.5

These from Justin came out great. I especially love the Topps Heritage card. Heritage cards are so great for getting signed. The cardboard is just really great for signing and I don’t think I have seen many smudges or problems with markers on them. The blue marker on these really pops.

Thanks Mr. De Fratus! I’m giving this return a 7.5.
