The Story of the Autograph
JJ Birden played as a wide receiver in the NFL from 1990 through 1996. He played with the Chiefs from 1990 through 1994 and then the Falcons from 1995 and 1996. Prior to his time with the Chiefs he spent time on the Brown and Cowboys practice squads.
Birden was born and raised in Oregon and played for the Oregon Ducks in college. The Browns drafted him in the eighth round of the 1988 NFL Draft. His best season was in 1993 with the Chiefs wen he caught 51 passes for 721 yards and two touchdowns. Those were all career highs aside from touchdowns when he set a career high the next year with four.
After football Birden worked with some health and wellness companies and continue to do so these days. He also works as a motivational speaker and conducts team building seminars.
The Score on JJ Birden – 6.5
JJ has a solid signature but one of these cards is just dark and a bit hard to show it off. The Action Packed card is always interesting but it must be difficult to sign with all those bumps where they player sticks out from the card. It came out better than I’ve seen those in the past.
