The Story of the Autograph

Greg Brock is a former first baseman in the major leagues. He played from 1982 thought 1991 and split his ten year career evenly between the Dodgers and Brewers.

Brock was born and raised in Oregon. He played for his father in high school and then attended college at the University of Wyoming. The Dodgers drafted him in the 13th round of the 1979 MLB Draft.

With the Dodgers he had his best seasons from a power perspective as he topped out at 20 and 21 (a career high) homers and 66 RBI. But Brock never really was a great hitter for average and his best year with the Dodgers was 1985 when he put up a .251 average. He played with Franklin Stubbs during part of his time with Los Angeles and would later see Stubbs again in Milwaukee.

After being traded to Milwaukee for Tim Crews and Tim Leary he put up some of the best numbers in his career. In 1987 he played 141 games and got over 600 plate appearances. He hit .299 (a career high) with 13 homers and 85 RBI (also a career high). He finished his career after the 1991 season.

Greg makes his signature pretty big. From his style you can see he has a lot of action in his signature, which could contribute to the size. These came out great with the blue of the marker and the blue in the uniforms of the teams he played for.

Thanks Mr. Brock! This return gets a 5.5.
