The Story of the Autograph

Doug Christie is a former shooting guard and small forward in the NBA. He played from 1992 to 2007 with the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Christie was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. In high school he helped his team win it’s first Washington State championship. He went on to play basketball at Pepperdine University, earning WCC Player of the Year in 1991 and 1992 and helping the Waves reach the NCAA Tournament. The SuperSonics drafted him with the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 1992 NBA Draft. He never played for the Sonics though due to contract issues. They traded him to the Lakers with Benoit Benjamin in exchange for Sam Perkins.

He didn’t play much with the Lakers, or with the Knicks when he went to New York for in 1994. It wasn’t until he got to Toronto in 1996 that he broke out. He was a consistent scorer for the Raptors. He then moved on to Sacramento and was a good shooting guard there. He was a good three point shooter but also was a three-time All-Defensive Second Team and one time All-Defensive First Team while with the Kings.

After Sacramento he moved around a bunch before calling it a career.

The Score on Doug Christie – 7.0

Doug has a nice bubbly signature. I love how these came out on these cards too. The marker looks really strong. This is a perfect size marker for his signature too at this size. If he for instance used a thin marker with that signature, I don’t think it would look as good.

Thanks Mr. Christie! I’m giving this return a 7 overall.
