The Story of the Autograph
Bobby Valentine is a former player and manager in the major leagues. He played in ten seasons from 1969 to 1979 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, and Seattle Mariners. He then managed the Texas Rangers, New York Mets, and Boston Red Sox.

The Score on Bobby Valentine – 6.5
Bobby did a really great job on these cards, aside from the smudge on the 1989 Topps card. The blue marker goes really well with the Texas uniforms. It didn’t come out as well on the Angels card, but it sticks out pretty well. He signed these sideways which is not ideal for me, but I’ll take it when they come out this well. One thing I have noticed with Bobby is that he seems to change up how much he will sign. I think he is signing maybe one at a time these days.
