The Story of the Autograph
Bill Virdon is a former centerfielder and manager in the major leagues who won the Rookie of the Year Award, World Series, and a Gold Glove. He played from 1955 to 1968 with the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Score on Bill Virdon – 5.5
Bill always has a tiny signature. I think on some of these it encouraged and even smaller signature just because of where it might actually fit on the card. Some of these came out badly because of a smudge (the ’81 Fleer) or because the card just didn’t take the ink well. Still appreciated though!
