My band had a gig on Friday and it was so nice to be playing out again. We haven’t played a real gig (not playing at the local pool for instance) in three years. So getting out to a bar and seeing people we didn’t really know was good.
We actually played about 45 minutes away from where we all live so that was good too. Branching out a bit more I guess. A couple of us in the band have some people we work with concentrated out that way so it was nice to kind of meet those folks out there and get them to come out.
The venue was really cool and we seemed to get a good reaction. I’m hoping maybe this can become a somewhat regular place for us. Of course then we have to keep the setlist fresh so we don’t get boring.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Bill Bates
- Tuesday: Trent Yawney, Rob Blake
- Wednesday: Andre Thornton
- Thursday: Barry Foote
- Friday: Brian Mitchell
- Saturday: Dave Edwards
- Sunday: Jeff Query
The #twofortuesday for last week had a hockey theme. I’ve had some more eclectic weeks recently. I must just be hitting a spot in my backlog where I got a few more things outside of baseball.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Terrell-ble Towel…
- Tuesday: Janney, 867-5309…
- Tuesday: Cheese Burgmeier…
- Wednesday: Don’t Pressley your luck…
- Thursday: Skip to my lou…
- Friday: B–k you…
- Saturday: Almost a two first name club member…
- Sunday: I drive a Corbett…
This week there will be a Boston theme to the #twofortuesday posts. There’s a lot of baseball this week but I’m keeping it eclectic with some hockey and basketball in the posts too.
Other Notes
It wasn’t a complete disappointment of a week, but definitely a lot lower than normal. I had 13 returns with no failures. I didn’t get back any paid returns but I did get back one of the “team” attempts, that was Darrin Jackson who seems to be returning pretty reliably lately.
As for stragglers there was only one. Mike Munos returned to be after 215. Other than that there was nothing out there more than 53 days.

Have a great week!
