There’s been a lot of mail discussion out there recently. Most that’s regarding the actual returns of mail. I’ve seen people who are wondering how they monitor their returns and also people having issues getting returns. That latter issue finally came to me. It made me realize that while USPS Informed Delivery is great, it makes you wonder what is going on when it shows you something wrong.
As for the happier of the two topics, does anyone mark their returns to know what they get back before they open them? Some do. I prefer not too. The only thing that tells me anything is the stamp I used. Generally with that I like to try to use that as a way to guess the order that I sent them out in. It’s been a bit easier lately because of the wide ranging stamps I’ve used.
As for the unhappier of the topics, on Monday Informed Delivery told me that three TTMs were coming (oh, and two bills but who cares about that). Well, I got nothing. They took my outgoing mail so the mailperson came to my house. Informed Delivery says report after a week. Well, I reported already but I still don’t have the five pieces of mail I reported. Who knows what’s going on.
Hope everyone is still doing OK!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Sunday: Dave Schmidt
- Monday: Brett Butler
- Tuesday: Joe Lavender, Earnest Byner
- Wednesday: Cory Snyder
- Thursday: Jim Poole
- Friday: Cliff Johnson
- Saturday: Erik McMillan
Can you believe that I’m keeping up with my #twofortuesday posts? Well, of course you can because you don’t see the ideas I have that never get off the ground.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: The nicest man in baseball…
- Tuesday: His first name is almost a palindrome…
- Tuesday: Don’t Cross him…
- Wednesday: Another Butler did it…
- Thursday: His nickname is the same as a large animal in Africa…
- Friday: Hard Hittin’ Bronco…
- Saturday: Chicken Man…
- Sunday: The Baines of some pitcher’s existence…
OK some of those are really easy. And if I tell you that it will be #halloffame week then it is even easier. These won’t all be the obvious Hall of Fames though. Actually, one of them has two Hall of Fames to their name as of this year.
Other Notes
I had 12 returns this week. It should have been 15 if the mail cooperated. So many those missing three will add to another week in the future. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I think anything I get next week will make this the best month I’ve had yet.
The backlog is now at 190 and it creeping up a little slower if I can keep up #twofortuesday. But if I don’t, a one a day pace has me with posts ready to go for the next year. Let’s close out a good month and start next month well. I have vacation days to start the month so hopefully that will help me get some more blog stuff done.
