Review / Preview – Week of 6/20

TTM Review Preview

“We got really lucky with the weather.”

That statement. That one right there. That tells me how much of an old many I’m becoming.

I’ve made that statement several times in the last few days. See on Friday it was around 100 degrees in Virginia. That was the day the AC decided it would stop working fully. The unit on the inside was running and the unit on the outside was partially… the fan wasn’t going. Not something you really want to happen at all, but most of all not when it seems like its going to be hot.

Well, things changed by that night and this weekend it’s been absolutely beautiful. The AC got fixed yesterday, but we haven’t even needed it all weekend. Hence my comment. But it’s just one of those comments I feel like my Dad, or Father-in-law, or Granddad probably made. Don’t worry, there are plenty of other things that make me feel like an old man as well.

Hope all you fathers out there are enjoying your day.

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

There was some really good signatures and cards posted this week. But by far I think the best was Gerald Young. It was his ’89 Upper Deck card that was the featured picture that has an amazing jump at the wall as the image. Plus he puts a pretty good signature on his cards.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Sweet Luis…
  • Tuesday: Gurry…
  • Tuesday: He’s going Proehl…
  • Wednesday: Had a hotel chain…
  • Thursday: Want some cheese with that Weinrich…
  • Friday: Chicken Fingers…
  • Saturday: He’s Welsh…
  • Sunday: Going for the Downs…

I’ll give you a little inside baseball right now. Normally I have thing written well ahead of time. I’m actually posting the things I still have to write for this week.

Other Notes

This was a great week with 21 returns. Definitely above the line that I want to be at for a weekly total. There were a lot of guys in the list that were that are old stand bys who I have a lot of returns from. There were some really fun first time signers though too.

Different than my last weekly update, there were some stragglers. Scott Scudder signed in 335, Don Kessinger signed a return that overlapped with a more recent one in 269 days, and Ron Hextall signed in 187 days.

The new Recent TTM Success is updated.

Have a great week!
