The Story of the Autograph
Jim Leyland is a former manager in the major leagues. He managed the Pittsburgh Pirates, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies, and Detroit Tigers between 1986 and 2013. He was Manager of the Year three times, won a pennant three times and won one World Series with the Marlins in 1997.

The Score on Jim Leyland – 7.0
Jim always signs his cards sideways. I don’t know if that because it’s how he likes it, or just because they come out of the envelope that way. While its awkward, it usually means he is putting it in a spot that shows off the autograph better. For instance on this one he might have signed over his chest which just has a black background and it wouldn’t have displayed it well.
