This week I was back to work after about a week of PTO that crossed over the weekend. How much does that such by the way? Luckily I left myself a two day week last week so there wasn’t too much of the week left.
I’m not someone who really cuts myself off from work though and it was one of the workinest PTOs I’ve ever had. I don’t think it helped that we kind of stay-cationed for the most part. There were just a few key things that cropped up that I couldn’t tear myself away from.
I think my biggest issue is that I dread what I will have to get to when I get back. So I like to try to keep up with my email, at least to delete or move things I can ignore when I get back. It’s all my own fault though I guess. I just need to stay away from it in the future.
Hope you are doing well!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Jeff Kunkel
- Tuesday: Ed Vande Berg, Jim Beattie
- Wednesday: Johnny Grubb
- Thursday: Gary Roenicke
- Friday: Mark Thurmond
- Saturday: Rocky Childress
- Sunday: Pat Combs
#twofortuesday was Mariners themed this week. I actually have some weeks coming up soon where I am going to try to get back to fully themed weeks. I avoided doing it for a while both because I wanted to switch things up and it seemed like it was less interesting to larger groups of people, but I think I need to get back into doing a few here and there… maybe strategically placed
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Welcome back Cotto…
- Tuesday: Bryn me you tired, your poor…
- Tuesday: Wally John…
- Wednesday: Gracias Garcia…
- Thursday: Ernie and Birtsas…
- Friday: One of the best Birds…
- Saturday: The Don…
- Sunday: Perry the platypus…
I’m aiming for an Expos themed #twofortuesday this week. Other than that everything is pretty much random. No themed weeks just yet. I have to get some prep work going for those.
Other Notes
Wow! Another great week of over 20 returns. This time 21 came in after a week of 23. Hopefully that will keep going. After months of having issues just getting my mail on Mondays, now it seems like Mondays are my biggest day of the week as I’ve had a couple weeks in a row where Monday really drives the big numbers I’ve been getting. Another good week could see August be one of the better months of the year.
There were some really good ones that came back this week that I’d never gotten before. Mark Grudzielanek is a guys that I’d tried before and never gotten back. But more interesting than that was Jordan Pacheco. I got back one from him that was a recent try and then I got back one that I had sent a while ago. Other new attempts that I got back were Scott Elarton, Eric Hillman, Dave Duncan, Dave Telgheder, Ken Aspromonte, and John Boccabella.
Have a great week!
