The weather is definitely turning here in Virginia. It was beautiful but it was a bit chilly out. If I’m on my morning walk or I am working in the yard it’s comfortable because I’m active. But if I’m just hanging out, and not in the sun, then there’s a chill. But I’d rather be cold than sweating. Totally feels like football outside.
Today was probably the day that mowing the lawn is starting to wind down a bit. I measured my front lawn mowing in Metallica songs. I don’t think I have a small yard, but it’s not huge. Still it comes in at four: Disposable Heroes, Harvester of Sorrow, Creeping Death, and One. Those were semi-random. I think if I used some newer stuff I’d probably have more. I’m just not into that as much.
I’d say I would try to do it for other bands, but if I used the punk music I listen too I think I would lose count.
Hope you all are able to enjoy any good weather you have in your area!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Walt Terrell
- Tuesday: George Frazier, Lee Guetterman
- Wednesday: Chris Chambliss
- Thursday: Mackey Sasser
- Friday: Sean Landeta
- Saturday: Jim Ritcher
- Sunday: Barry Lyons
Last week was #empirestate week. Most of the posts were “Big Apple” related but you did get a Buffalo Bills post squeezed in there too. Phew, otherwise I don’t think I could have called it #empirestate week.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: That’s the fact Jack…
- Tuesday: Einhorn is Finkle, changing out some letters…
- Tuesday: His name seems backwards…
- Wednesday: Big Burr-E…
- Thursday: Ewww, Gross…
- Friday: Brod swings the rod…
- Saturday: Storming around…
- Sunday: Bailes me out…
Y’all did me dirty this week. The poll on Twitter tied for #goldenstate week, #lonestarstate week, and #sunshinestate week. I’m going to assume it’s some conspiracy among those that tend to vote in my polls (which is not a lot – LOL!) and you did this on purpose.
But I have contigency plans people! I’ll break the tie and I’ll just use alphabetical order to get it done. #goldenstate week it is!
Other Notes
This week was even lighter than last week. I was kind of figuring that this was going to be like what the summer was like for mail with the pandemic. I’m not really sure why it’s happening now. I only received eight TTMs in the mail. And I only received those over two days in the week.
So the backlog is at 243 which I think went down a little bit. So that’s good and bad. It was getting too high so I don’t mind it going down. But it’s still nice to just go up to know that I am receiving more. I’m still having an OK month with a good amount of time left to make it a great month. Hopefully there will be a little turnaround next week.
Stay safe and healthy out there!
