The Story of the Autograph

Tony Zendejas is a former kicker in the National Football League. He played from 1985 to 1995 with the Houston Oilers, Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco Giants.

Zendejas is Mexican move to the United States when he was twelve years old. He started in soccer and then added football in high school. He went to Junior college and soccer was still his main sport. But he broke his leg before a tryout with an NASL team. He transferred and then again to play for Nevada. After setting several records he was drafted into the USFL.

He played for the Los Angeles Express from 1983 to 1985 and tried to get a gig with the Washington Redskins in 1984. Then he was drafted in the first round of the NFL Supplemental Draft for USFL and CFL players by the Houston Oilers.

He played so many great seasons including 1991 when he went perfect in field goals (17 for 17). But unfortunately he missed an extra point and fell short of a perfect season. He also held a record for consecutive field goals made from 50 or more yards with eleven. It’s since been broken by a couple kickers.

The Score on Tony Zendejas – 6.0

BraveSTARR Score LogoBraveSTARR Score 6

Tony has a little bit of a small signature. It’s a little bit hidden on the Score card, then a little bit more clear on the Fleer card, and it really sticks out on the Pro Set Card. The Pro Set card almost looks like one name with the way they got bunched up vs. the others.

Thanks Mr. Zendejas! I’m giving this return a 6.
