The Story of the Autograph

Steve Henson is a former guard in the NBA. He played from 1990 to 1999 with the Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Portlan Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons. He also played in the CBA and overseas in those years.

Henson was born and raised in Kansas. He went on to attend Kansas State University where he ended his career as the career leader in assist and towards the top of the NCAA career free throw percentage charts. He also was a decathelete in college. The Bucks drafted him in the second round of the 1990 NBA Draft.

He was always a bench played in the NBA and only started three games in his career. He averaged 3.1 points 2 assists and .7 rebounds over his career. But he also played a lot in the CBA and overseas in Italy and Greece.

After his playing days he went into coaching. He was an assistant in the NBA with the Hawks and also in the NCAA at Illinois, South Florida, UNLV and Oklahoma. Since 2016 he’s been the head coach at The University of Texas-San Antonio. His best finishes were in 2018 when the Roadrunners made it to the quarterfinals of the CIT after his only 20-win season or the following year when they finised tied for second.

These came out really strong from Steve. The marker was nice and thick and sharp. It really worked best on the 1992-93 Fleer Ultra cards and cut through the busy basketball card image on there. The 1991-92 Fleer card is just way to dark on the other hand.
