The Story of the Autograph

Rob Fredrickson is a former linebacker in the National Football League. He played from 1994 thought 2002 with the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, Detroit Lions, and Arizona Cardinals.

Fredrickson was born and raised in Michigan. He attended Michigan State University and as a Spartan was four-time Academic All-Big Ten and an All-American. The Raiders, still in Los Angeles at the time, drafted him with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft.

As a rookie Fredrickson was selected to the NFL All-rookie first team. He started 12 of the 16 games played in that ’94 season with three sacks, one force fumble and 81 combined tackles. He continued with very similar numbers during his time in Oakland through the 1997 season. Some of his best numbers though were in Arizona. In 1999 he had a combined 125 tackles and a career high two interception and three forced fumbles. Later, in 2001, he had a career high four sacks.

Fredrickson still lives in Arizona and does a lot of work to raise money for charitable organizations in the area through The Thunderbirds. That includes work with the Wast Management Phoenix Open (a golf tournament).

The Score on Rob Fredrickson – 5.5

Rob has a pretty simple signature. There’s not much to it and not much to make it recognizable as his name really. It’s not a bad size, just not very detailed at all. It looks great on the Classic card, but of course, the black Raiders jersey doesn’t do much for a signature.

Thanks Mr. Fredrickson! I’m giving this one a 5.5.
