The Story of the Autograph
Ron Hodges was mostly a back-up catcher in the major leagues. He played his entire career with the Mets, from 1973 to 1984, mostly behind Jerry Grote and John Stearns.

While not a baseball great, or even a Mets great, Ron was a solid presence on the Mets for a long time. Mostly a backup, he probably showed best when he filled in for Jerry Grote while he was injured in 1973. Ron was also a solid presence in the TTM game. He was a very good signer and the example below shows that. I had a more recent return that I listed above as well but hadn’t gotten to converting pictures over to the site in a really long time to show those.
RIP Mr. Hodges! Our thoughts go out to your family and friends.
