Review / Preview – Week of 3/6

TTM Review Preview

I love Spring Training, but this year everything seems so odd. Things are always a little odd this time of year, but it feels even more so this year.

First, there’s the interest factor. Spring Training is an exciting time of year. I like seeing guys first report, I like seeing the interviews, I like hearing the first pops of the glove when pitcher start practicing… I also like watching the first games. BUT… you can’t really watch a whole game and then the games get a little tedious because of that after a few games in.

Second, you don’t REALLY know what’s going on. Did we lose 10-0 because we were coming at it to look at young guys? Was it because guys were just trying new things out? You just can’t get too much of a handle on what the result really means in the grand scheme.

Third, this year there are two things that are confusing things. One a little more than the other. The first of those things is the WBC. Some guys are gearing up for that and then there going to be gone for a few weeks. Not sure how to judge that. And second is the changes in rules. I love the clock actually, but I feel like I will like it better in a few months when everyone understands how to play with it a bit more.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

I blew a chance to have a Danger-Russel / Russ #twofortuesday. Oh well…. No themes at all for this week.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Yes we Kennedy…
  • Tuesday: Foucault’s pendulum…
  • Tuesday: It takes a Villone…
  • Wednesday: At your Service…
  • Thursday: Drinkin’ Hennessey…
  • Friday: That’s the Wrona answer…
  • Saturday: Nate the Great…
  • Sunday: Men in Black…

Just continuing through the backlog this week with no #twofortuesday theme.

Other Notes

Another good week this week. It was nice to see after a pretty bad one a couple weeks ago. I had 21 successful returns this week. There were really only two stragglers over 200 days and one was a pretty good one like last week. Luis Gonzalez was at 1075 days and Stephone Paige was at 242. Unfortunately Paige was a stamp (and not even a good one at that). I got back a paid success from Bill Gullickson too.

The Recent TTM Success page is updated.

Have a great week!
