I really hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I chose not to take any extra days off. That’s what I usually do, but it felt a bit different this year. I think when I normally get to go into the office these weeks feel more like a work week. Then when you have that easy Friday because more people take off, it feels like a hybrid day off.
This year with being home ALL THE TIME, it just felt like an odd regular day. I probably ended up getting more work done than I normally would. That’s good for work but not for me.
I always love an extra day off because it let’s me catch up on some blog stuff. I used the extra day mostly to prepare some wax box opening articles for you for the next couple weeks. And I’m bringing back a couple Pack vs. Pack articles as well that I hope will be fun for you.
Back to the grind! Keep on keepin’ on everyone!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Lee Tunnell
- Tuesday: Bill Almon, Bob Patterson
- Wednesday: Doug Drabek
- Thursday: Ed Ott, Card Thoughts: 1986 Topps – The Real One!
- Friday: Don Robinson
- Saturday: Jim Leyland
- Sunday: Jose Tabata
Well, this was quite possible one of my most fun weeks to create posts. #yoho was a great way to use some pirate-speak, and who doesn’t love using pirate-speak. Now, I’m not sure everyone likes to read it, especially for a whole week, but I had fun.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: As opposed to a dying stone…
- Tuesday: I wah, wah, wah, wah…
- Tuesday: Almost the Reign Man…
- Wednesday: Not overwood…
- Thursday: Off the Mark…
- Friday: Banana man…
- Saturday: Sid the kid…
- Sunday: Baseball player name playing football…
The theme for this week will be #detroitrockcity. So that means I’ll be featuring players on teams from Detroit. It will mostly be Tigers, but there will be a Lions appearance sometime during the week.
Other Notes
From a TTM perspective, this was the worst week I’ve had in months. I had two days with no mail at all and that’s not even counting Thanksgiving. And then I had Informed Delivery tell me something was coming that didn’t (and still hasn’t). So I only got four returns this week overall. I was really killing it this month and this week could have sealed the deal but unfortunately it was a dud. There’s only one more day to pick this month up a bit.
I still am doing fine for the month as a whole though. But with the slow week the backlog dropped to 290. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though.
Stay safe and healthy out there!
