Review / Preview – Week of 11/27

TTM Review Preview

I realized this week that there’s been several players who have passed away in the last month that have been very good to us in the TTM hobby. This week both Ron Hodges and Preston Hanna passed away.

The backlog of things to post is so big that I tend to have cards of these guys that I haven’t gotten to and I try to use that as a way to celebrate their lives. But honestly it’s been almost hard to keep up recently and that just makes me sad.

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

No theme for the week or the #twofortuesday this week. It was somewhat eclectic with one basketball and one hockey post, but pretty much mostly baseball.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Lutz make a deal…
  • Tuesday: Rocket, yeah…
  • Tuesday: Slim Jim…
  • Wednesday: Shields up…
  • Thursday: Dennis the Menace…
  • Friday: Bobby pin…
  • Saturday: Don’t Blab to anyone about it…
  • Sunday: I guess its better than Downchurch…

No themes again this week. Just working my way through my sizeable backlog.

Other Notes

Two week in a row of good returns… I don’t know what to do with myself.

This week I got back 22 returns. Two of them were failures. Those were from Danny Cater and Mike Phipps. In both cases I didn’t realize they charge now. Cater charges $5 per and Phipps charges $15 per. I don’t know if I will send back to them. Maybe Cater since that is a bit more affordable and fills a bit more of a concentration in my collection… like I actually have one.

As for stragglers I did have a good one this week. There were two though and interestingly enough, they both came from the same person. It looks like Steve Decker did some signing. I got back one from him that was 811 days old and another that was 387 days old. I also go back a paid return from Leo Cardenas this week.

The Recent TTM Success page is updated.

Have a great week!
