Review / Preview – Week of 10/19

TTM Review Preview

Work has been so crazy in recent weeks that I feel like sometimes I almost forget to post things. At one point I had a week where I didn’t post something until late in the afternoon and that makes me feel like I almost missed posting completely. Don’t you wish work didn’t take up so much of our time?

This week I was a bit better at it until Friday. My days just seem to get away from me. I have a job where I might have certain things on my calendar, and then other things just completely blow it up. I run a help desk that’s internal to the company I work for so inevitably there is a VIP that needs help, and then some system blows up, and then, and then, and then….

My Friday started early with one of those VIP situations and then there were questions about how my team was performing and my metrics so I had to spend time putting things together for that. One thing leads to another and… did I post something today?

Knock on wood… my calendar looks OK for next week so far.

Hope everybody is doing well and staying healthy!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

#showmestate was another themed week with some pretty good variety. It started to get a list Cardinals started to dominate it just a little bit. But I think Tim Grunhard this morning brought it back. And I always find it fitting to post football on Sundays especially during the season.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: Jack of all trades…
  • Tuesday: Frank with the Frenchy last name…
  • Tuesday: Pete O…
  • Wednesday: Wilbur from Mr. Ed?
  • Thursday: The Wright stuff…
  • Friday: Suggs it up…
  • Saturday: The Cosbie Show…
  • Sunday: Stanley Steamer…

Next week is #lonestarstate week. That means eight recent (ish) TTMs from Texas based teams on the cards. It’s actually going to be a pretty good mix of baseball and a little football with four teams represented.

Other Notes

So I mentioned the weeks see-sawing a bit lately in last week’s post. Well it went way up last week, but my numbers had some help. I think I’ve mentioned that my next door neighbor hasn’t been in his house for years and his kids “take care” of the house from time to time. That tends to be more time between visits lately. That combined with my mail issues has meant for some missing TTMs.

This week I found out another neighbor across the street has a key to his house. She got in and found me seven TTMs (1 failure). I’m not sure how far back they date, but potentially something like the July/August timeframe. But those six definitely helped the other 15 successes that I had last week to make for a weekly total of 21.

My backlog number has now spiked to 268! That is way crazier than I ever though it would be.

Stay safe and healthy out there!
