And the hits just keep on coming… good hits though… good hits.
The college process continued this weekend as we toured Mason officially. We have a connection and are always on campus but had never taken an actual tour so that definitely helped out a lot. Plus today we’re headed to a game (maybe already did by the time I end up posting this). Hopefully that turns out well. It’s actually been a little bit fun. While I hate all the mail, I have realized that it would be nice to get a ton of it that says people want you around.
It was also a great week for cards as I hit a Willie Mays in a recent buy from Ryan’s vintage cards. I’m two purchases behind on that (as I always seem to be) but I’ll get something up about it soon. On tops of all that it was another great week of returns and it looks like I’ll be closing out the month on a high note.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Tim Birtsas
- Tuesday: Mike Hartley, Wallace Johnson
- Wednesday: Dave Cochrane
- Thursday: Bruce Benedict
- Friday: Paul Mitchell
- Saturday: Mike Huff
- Sunday: Larry Bowa
No overall theme or #twofortuesday theme this week. I’m trying to maybe plan two of them coming up but I’m not quite sure that I have the fodder for it. Not that I don’t have a ton in my backlog, but I might be thinking of something a bit too obscure.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Bill me…
- Tuesday: Up to the Stoddard…
- Tuesday: Moore and Moore…
- Wednesday: Wilsooooon…
- Thursday: Hammond cheese…
- Friday: Lobster Thurmond-or…
- Saturday: Jump to conclusions Matt…
- Sunday: Man in the Mirabella…
Another week of no themes unfortunately. I’ve got to get my but in gear like I said above.
Other Notes
Twenty five! Twenty five returns this week with zero failures. That’s a great week but considering I’ve been starting to cut back this month that’s pretty great. I think what’s happening is that I’ve been sending out to some guys that are more regular returners. That sure helps the success rate. There was a pretty good number of stragglers. Nothing super crazy out there but still some interesting straggler numbers.
This was a light week for stragglers:
- Mike Kingery – 799
- Dan Pasqua – 462
- Ledell Eackles – 386
- Shawn Boskie – 343
- Greg Kragen – 254
The Recent TTM Success page is updated.
Have a great week!
